Israel/Gaza: Operation Cast Lead: 22 days of death and destruction || Amnesty International Canada

Donatella Rovera, Amnesty Internationals expert on Israel and the Occupied Territories reports from Gaza after the 22-day military offensive in Gaza which began on 27 December 2008. The Israeli army used white phosphorus, a weapon with a highly incendiary effect, in densely populated civilian residential areas of Gaza City, according to indisputable evidence found an Amnesty International fact-finding team which reached the area hours before the Israeli government announced a ceasefire.

When white phosphorus lands on skin it burns deeply through muscle and into the bone, continuing to burn until deprived of oxygen.

Donatella was joined by weapons expert Christopher Cobb-Smith.

My first suggestion would be stop watching films and get yourself to the region and do your OWN research since you're not going to believe Amnesty Int'l, a well respected org or Justice R. Goldstone, a highly respected prosecutor, or independent journalists. You could also try common sense, where there is a military occupation, hr abuses are inherent and when you go with open eyes, violations aren't hard to find. Otherwise, visit Amnesty website for the reports for well documented details.

i think you are one who is blind here my dear. i have watched pallywood and found it deeply unsettling that people would go to such lengths (and i have to say deeply unconvincing) to try to excuse gross human rights violations committed by the israeli govt,

@warpedcomedy - you let your hatred blind your intelligence. Say 'Palestinians are pathological liars' is true - there are non-Palestinian witnesses, forensics evidence and photographic evidence. Say 'the Palestinians' embellished stories - experienced investigators, including Amnesty's Senior Researcher, Goldstone and independent journalists, used well established methodology to compare statements against each other AND the evidence to determine if credible - which they did.
