This is one of my dark phase B. jacksoni's. These scorpions are beautiful, and great to keep. They're a pretty dangerous species, and are in the buthidae family. They and have been known to cause serious invenomations, and even kill.
Extra care is needed when working with this species,
@Threatmag Wish it were like that here. Getting a licence to keep anything which is dangerous humans (and some which are not) can take months. I've even heared of it taking a year! Even then, you have to be able to show that you're capable of keeping them.
It's good to see someone using caution with dangerous species. Far too many handle them, and take it for granted that they will never be stung. I too hope people reading these comments will take the advice, and keep safe.

@Threatmag Glad to help. Just be carefull, as they're known to have pretty nasty venom. They're notyhing compared to the likes of the LQ's, or the australis, but they can still cause a significant invenomation.
I've not looked at your profile, but I'm guessing you're from the US. In the UK, we need a licence, insurance, and a vet visit before you can keep anything dangerous to humans. Esp animals with venom.
It's pretty annoying, but I can see why they do it.

@Threatmag I found they dont do well on sand. They need higher humidity then the deathstalkers, and its harder to obtain on sand. I use a play sand and coco fibre mixture. I also have a small, wide water bowl in with these
