Its the orig. magnet - Take the time & learn how to drive it with the hot motor. A stronger magnet will slow it down. Thanks for the question

Not really - You use it down the 17 foot strait when you have other can on your tail. & blip it through the corners. Makes for a challenging fast time.

is it worth buying one of these motors, how much faster are then than the 20k rpm ones?

This motor runs great, depending on you track size, if you layout os smaller the 20k motor will work fine - the 30k will be too fast for the track - Not fun to drive.

I bought the extra track to make 4 lanes, Artin track you can go up to 6 lanes.
