The general sentiment is that the mom blew it, and I agree. This is one of, if not the most important moment of their lives together. This is a major milestone in their relationship, and a family member pushes their way in? If it were me, I would keep some serious distance between this woman and I.

omg that was sooo rude, and their like crying it's like 'I'm sooo sad I wanted him instead' but yea that was rude. And the guy is really cute.

WTF!? I feel terrible for the guy! Nobody seemed to care that he was fucking proposing! Which is like the biggest decision of his life! VERY rude of the family and of the girl getting asked!
He deserves someone better!

That was horrible on the mothers side. You dont interupt a proposal! It's between the couple and she had no right stepping in like that. I feel sorry for the poor guy. Happy for him, but sorry on how that turned out.
