This is the cover version of "Hi-Fidelity" I did for Peri Urban's "Let Me Hear You" project.

THE SONG

I picked this song because I figured it would be fun, quick, and easy to record. I suppose the fact that it's a little bit "out-there" also helped as well. I put the recording itself together within an hour or two. Of course, the YouTube version (by its very nature) is crappier than it should be. So, if you are interested in getting a "hi-fidelity" (oooh, I made a funny) stereo version that isn't encoded at "3 kilobytes every second" (whoa, another one... I'm out of control), you can download it at Peri's web site here...

THE VIDEO

I got out of work early on Halloween and had the idea to do this as I was driving home. I rushed to put together the various props I needed (to start filming while there was still daylight left). I filmed everything I needed within a couple of hours and put the video together the following weekend. This was the first time I ever attempted the compositing effect seen in this video (I had no idea if it would even work), so it's kind of a crappy job... but the fact that I actually pulled it off was good enough for me!

Trivia: Yes, Billy. That really IS a 78 rpm record...

A zen garden? Mmmmmm? No Fish? if you ever aquire an Aquarium' get Cichlids! smart fish. they come in dozens of types: Jaguar cichlid, Zebra cichlid ETC. they like caves! and its cool to watch them squabbling! Flared gills, Fins up, nose to nose.
