As a result, no one could possibly hope to follow these gestures--your patterns are sound, but the timing & style definitely need work. This video series should NOT be taken as educational, except as an example of what NOT to do.

Nice effort, but your preps are out of sync with the ensuing patterns in the following ways:
-4/4 prep is too long in terms of timing
-3/4 prep does not clearly define ictus on prep, simply "lifting off" without a clear "down-up" motion
-2/4 prep comes to rest for beat one at an entirely different spot than that from which you prepped
