Sound a bit latin, like Santana or Phil Manzanera. Cool stuff, and cool guitar anyway.

I was going to buy an American, but now I think I'll just go MIM! Thank you.
Excellent playing!

YOu have fantastic licks, what a great showcase for the Tele and the Texas specials. I am modding a Tele with the exact same set-up, and 4-way switch as well. I also have a maple neck on mine. I really, I maen really hope I get the tones you do!

hey... as someone who has tried both the texas specials and the area-T, how do you think they compare, which ones do you prefer?

@unabonger777 I really like them both a lot! Since I have the pickups in two different guitars it is hard to make a definite statement but I would say the Area T's sound a little smoother while the Texas Specials have "harder" sound...not distortion hard, more of a character sound. The Texas Specials can cover classic rock and country really well and really cut through a mix. The Area T's can do the same but since it is a smoother type sound it tends to blend more with the other instruments.

Wow..this is super tasty indeed.
Very very fine playing.
Just curious...what are the other elements gear wise?
I've thought about getting a looper for example.
Your tone is excellent my friend.

@TeleGlider Thanks... The clean tone is the guitar straight into a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe with a Vintage 30 speaker. The overdrive sound has a Boss SD2 (discontinued Boss overdrive pedal with two stages of gain) Boss CS-3 Compressor a Boss DD7 delay (loop) and a Boss DD 3 Delay.

Is the solo done on the bridge pickup? Are MIM pickups drastically different? I've got a Tele Affinity and a set of MIM pickups and I'm that they will improve the sound or should I wait for the CSs?

For the solo I am primarily using the bridge pickup but a some point in the middle I switched to position 4 which are the bridge and neck in parallel... pickups are really a matter of preference. I prefer the CS pickups but others prefer the sound of the stock pickups. Generally the CS pickups are going to be a little more "rocking" than standard tele pickups - it depends what you like.
