TF2 The Visual Magic - a chilly trip into the world of TF2

Follow the Medic on his journey through Team Fortress 2, a chilly trip through these wonderful maps of the game.

A visual experiment that came to my mind. It shows all the beautiful places in Team Fortress 2, which you may not have discovered yet. I put a few fighting scenes into this movie, but it should be a visual experience and not a showcase of skills.

Thanks on this place to all the great mapmakers out there, some maps are really nice made, keep up the good work and thanks to my cousin Paco, who helped me with the headbanging clips :)

Feel free to tell me all your thoughts about it, likes dislikes that's very important for me, for future projects!

--CONCEPT--:
I recorded demos from different angles, with the right content (nice fights, overview with freefly,...). then i frapsed those demos with 1024*768 2xAA/0xAF to keep the files small and to lower the hardware lag(qual. with this resolution is enough!). To find the right angle or to make a scene look smooth it can take a while, you need patients and a steady hand. For instance the coasterdrive took me 20 tries until i was satisfied with it ;) Also enter "cl_drawhud 0" into the console, before frapsing the footage, to disable the interface!

With my machine i could record with all graphics MAX (1600*1200 8xAA / 16xAF), but i dont recommend this, because the files are simply too huge. Also very important IMO, use a 2nd SATA harddrive for frapsing only, that worked perfectly for me and also lowers the hardware lag!

Man this brought back such good memories... the old 90s sounding electronica, the (now) classic custom maps, and the timeless prowess of the medic. There are far fewer customs servers near where I live so watching this again is a nostalgic taste for me. Well played.

@doodfood Thanks man! Yeah i got a platin medal and i am happy that i started playing this game in the BETA, for me this game is perfect especially when you can play it with buddies and it has the medic of course ;)

Wait. Video was uploaded on January 22nd, 2008 and Junction came out February 24th, 2009. Am I seeing things?

I always felt that Junction is special and it is still very popular in the competetive community for it's great 6v6 gameplay. But this map does NOT work for more than 12 players unfortunately.
