Hurricane Ida bearing down on the Gulf Coast 11-08-2009

Imagery related to Hurricane Ida - a late season Atlantic hurricane that is becoming a headache for forecasters. Once expected to spin out over the Gulf as a extratropical cyclone, now expected to move ashore as a hurricane east of Mobile Bay and west of Pensacola -- subject to change of course. The long term threat for Ida could be localized flooding as the remnants stall out over the SE.
