Hey hey. no worries!!! All they really care about is that you're a native speaker. In fact, most of the people I have spoken to were taught British English in school, so you would actually be more suitable to them. Either way, they will be ecstatic to have a native speaker teaching them!

I taught kindergarden English in Taiwan when I was 14.

I got paid $1 per hour.

In Taiwan, 30 dollars = 1 Canadian Dollar. So 1 American Dollar = 33/34 Taiwanese Dollars

Should be about the same for China.
