Some more hearty singing from John Fahey here as "Blind Thomas." This sounds like one of Fahey's earliest variations around Vestapol, which formed the basis for "Poor Boy Long Ways From Home", one his most famous songs.

    only fahey.......

  • Love all these new postings of old recordings and performances - i'm inspired all over again. Really enjoy the "talking blues" approach he takes on this tune and what a right hand! Thanks.

  • Check out Etta Baker's poor boy version.

  • mi piace tanto!complimenti!

  • this is great, its another version of Vestapol by Elizabeth Cotten, here he sounds a bit like Dave Van Ronk, with growling voice :).

  • Another great.
