I love this, it sounds amazing. I like the other albums also, but this is just so much better then the other stuff i've heard :)

I think , this album walk hand in hand with Nemesis Divina . This album is pitch black and misanthropic !!! Indeed, as BM should be !
-
@insidethefall78 Completely agreed. This is their only good album if you ask me. No gay ass forest metal, no average black n roll. Just filthy panic.

@misterbilbotbaggins Imma drummer dude..I know what I'm talking about :)

@milosmilanovic >drums are melodic

the drums on the begining are amazingly melodic and beautiful!

@geostigma123 Not only that this album made a huge impact for them internationally... all over the world... Satyricon became even bigger after the release of this album.. But yes you are right they took it to the next level with this album...
I wish Satyricon swayed more in this direction, rather than becoming simplistic "black n roll" This album is like Voivod possessed by Satan

@insidethefall78 I wish that as well, and one can theorize about why the changes occur so rapidly. I just honestly think Satyr and frost are experimentalists by nature and some projects will be less appealing than others. And... It might be interpreted wrong, but they're getting older (and/or wrong drugs are taken), so there's just a natural occurrence of deterioration taken place. Let's hail this album and never forget it though!

I have heard so many Satyricon fans put this album down when it first came out but I happen to think it's their best...

@ogrebattle22763 I'd have to agree actually. They took it to the next level. The album doesn't repeat itself, it's full of variations, Original riffs and bad-ass lyrics... and they made it in 1999... that's simply amazing. Probably THE most underestimated metal album out there.
