As a Master Plumber Speaking- The Actuall "Rough In" Valve was never remover or replaced in this video. The valve HAS to be removed by going through the other side of the wall. It has to be disconnected from the Water supply and the shower tree. Then Soldered and/or rejoined and connected!!
