"Dear Prudence" was written by John Lennon and credited to Lennon/McCartney. It was recorded by The Beatles as the second track on their 1968 double-disc album entitled The Beatles (also known as The White Album).
It's a masterfull piece of rock-funk. it's all about the way McCartney turns a simple groove into one of the most sophisticated sounding parts he ever recorded with The Beatles. Yet again he determines the character of a superb Lennon composition and yet again his contribution is the most important element after Leenon's vocal.
