Sony Playstation 1 on Pandora! psx4pandora in action!

Hello from ZodTTD of zodttd.com!

I recently made a new build of psx4pandora, the Sony Playstation 1 emulator for the incredible Pandora. Pandora is a extremely high end homebrew gaming-oriented handheld ( openpandora.org ) as seen on Slashdot.

This video was quickly made to get feedback on what games to showcase in a more professionally made video coming soon.

The three games showcased are (in order) Vagrant Story, Final Fantasy 7, and Wipeout XL.

This video is accurate and shows these games running on a devkit running at STOCK speed. This is truly an amazing handheld!

Because it's all the opposite way, Dreamcast was more powerful.

Also, you gotta understand that emulating a console isn't just a matter of sheer power. The "power" of a console is just an abstract concept that ultimately means nothing. Every console has a different architecture, with different hardware, as different processors, memories, hardware structure and different software subroutines.

Some consoles with odd architectures like Saturn can be very hard to emulate even if not "powerful".

The Dreamcast was lightyears more powerful than the Playstation. How the hell could you not know that based on generation alone?

Please zod. Do not make people pay for donations to get the Emus again. At least just SELL the emus, do not weasel your way around with the "please donate" shit. It was really annoying and I felt like you'r weasling around taxes for selling software.

wow 2097 is ridiculously slow ,is there any point in playing that with those sorts of speeds.you could even see slowdown on the battle scenes in ff7 .bit of a disappointment

Eh that's still debatable. PS2 has almost no real features (the lack of anti-aliasing is obvious) and it has shit for texture memory.

There was a good possibility with employing some tricks a lot of late generation Dreamcast games would have looked like early Xbox games.

In fact Jet Set Radio Future and Sega GT 2002 were straight ports from the Dreamcast switched over to Xbox at the last second. Counterstrike DC pushes more polygons in many of it's scenes than even Halo.

Haha, don't make me laugh. The Playstation 2 is more powerful than the Dreamcast, not the original PlayStation.
