The last time I saw Mike, he was here in Kansas City. It was the ULTIMATE concert!! I don't know how they did it but it was The Clouds Of Joy, Paul Beasley and The Gospel Keynotes, and Danny Walker and The Violinaires. Paul handed me his mic on Walk Around Heaven, so I added a bass note to the song. After the concert he said that he would have my suit the next time he came. Mike pulled me aside, showed me their cd to be released and told me to be sure to get it. He died 3 mos later. I miss him.

Man that brotha was great when he became member of the mighty clouds, but i have to give credit where it is due and that's Paul Beasley the best ever.

Do you have this whole song recorded at this show, because the ending when Mike did his own mix was outstanding, i would hear the whole song...R.I.P. MIKE COOK

Michael Cook can BLOW. This man was truly blessed with his voice. I am glad to have known and met him PERSONALLY. I was shocked to know that he passed and guess what I am still shocked. But when God Get ready just as my Grandfather used to say Mr. Willie Neal Johnson- When The Lord Gets Ready, You Got to MOVE.
