You need to look at the difference between what a fundamental discovery is and what is a discovery that was made possible to discover because of a real fundamental discovery. Then look at the person again who came up with the fundamental discovery... That person was not on the track of liberal tastes. That person was actually looking at how the universe was created and the causes.
