Republicans Cheer 234 Executions Under Rick Perry at GOP Debate

Anthony Graves read in the newspaper about the crowd at the Republican presidential debate applauding the fact that 234 executions had been conducted during the tenure of Gov. Rick Perry.

We need to show the nation a counter example to the clapping at the GOP debate, so please make plans to attend the 12th Annual March to Abolish the Death Penalty at the Texas Capitol. Come clap for justice, not killing. On October 22, 2011 in Austin, it is our turn to clap and cheer when 20-25 death row exonerees at the march urge us to end the death penalty.

What is even more interesting is that,even if members of that jury came back to say they got it wrong,they wont pay them any attention.

The one thing Texans hate most is any evidence that can deprive from killing one more person. If you get convicted in Texas and the later evidence emerge that they got the wrong guy,no matter how powerful that evidence may be,say for example the crime they convict you of was committed before you were born,Texas will still not listen. Thier argument remains "you were found guilty by a jury of your peers". They make it sound as if "peers" were God and never make mistake.
