@stemmo33 the issue with SOPA isnt that it stops piracy (badly) its that it would do it by completely DNSing servers linking to or containing copyrighted material without permission. This means that if a user of say youtube posted copyrighted material, the user wouldn't be the only one to suffer, rather everyone would be denied access to youtube.
