I'm wondering why you don't run a horizontal antenna & get the extra 8dB of ground gain? 5/8 are cool, especially with an excellent ground but they don't hit the F layer as hard as horizontal

What if I told you, John, that I have a beam design that would kill all others? It's the antenna design equivalent of your 300% board, and yes, they've also told ME it can't be done - hehehe

I can't think of a better guy to have try it out if you wanna build one

Hi all, just want to let you know the audio you are hearing on this video is actually from the local receiver, NOT the console. and the Buzz is coming from the RF in the environment. It is NOT in my xmit audio. Mic is the Electrovoice RE20. Antenna is a 5/8 Wave ground plane at 22 Feet off the ground. The difference in the two radios is the difference between the two radios not modified in ant way.
