Youth Kivajat Folk Dancers directed by Kay Seppala have been invited to dance in Finland, July 2009, at the Tanssiva Turku, a children's international dance festival. These children are from the Copper Country in the Western Upper Peninsula of Michigan, dancing the "Kivajat Schottische", to the "Snake River Schottische" composed and recorded by the late fiddle player, Edward Lauluma from Chassell, Michigan, and his band "RFD North". The children perform a Finnish dance here after church at the Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Chassell (near Ed's home on the Snake River) on Sunday, March 22, 2009. Wife of the late Ed L gives permission to use music composed and played by Ed in this video (Kay dances with them to take the place of one dancer who is out of town in the Jr Olympics Downhill Ski Races this week.) www.Chassell.info

  • @MrsHolliValo if youre so proud of being finnish and you love finland so much then go to finland this is the U.S not finland U.S for Americans only

  • I LOVE THIS!!!!! KIITOS PALJON!!! :)

  • @ChristIsSaviour12 -- why would you watch a video that CLEARLY is a dance NOT from America if you're so against it? Im a PROUD Finnish WOman and this is lovely. You're comment is obnoxious & I think you're stuck in a crappy life and are miserable. WELL you can't POSSIBLY understand the feeling of being proud of your heritage and yes, I'm also a very proud CHRISTIAN, so don't try & say you're proud of that, if you were you'd not speak like satan. FINNISH FOREVER & IN USA!

  • Roughly 16% of the people that live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan are Finnish Americans. I am proudly one of them! These dancers are dancing to my father-in-law's music and he was a great song writer and fiddler. So we will dance our Finnish dances, play the music and sing the songs in America ChristisSaviour12. I doubt if you are even a Christian with a remark like that!

  • this is amerca do american dances please keep it american ok
