By grace, through faith, for the sake of Christ. The statement that we are justified by faith is a figure of speech, but it is one Our Lord Himself used, when He said, "Thy faith hath made thee whole." Strictly speaking, the person's faith had not made her whole; Jesus had. But Jesus had healed her through her faith.

@StSimonMartyr And Christ said "This is my body, broken for you, (i.e.: The church of God is the Body of Christ,) Take this and DIVIDE IT among yourselves." Therefore our faith in Christ is one, the Lord is one, we are baptised into the same Spirit, there is no competition, our religion is complete in Christ from the foundation of the world. But among us, Every tribe, nation, language, and culture. Or there are as many schism as fit in a pew, and I will give you that much. At least we read it.

Protest-ants add new editions to the Bible every year-over 50 new versions, even PC Bibles so as not to offend Jews,Queers & women. All edited by the council of Rabbis.
Christ established 1 Church & 1 Man-Peter,as his successor,to Teach Infallibly,not speak infallibly.
As a Heretic Prot-u contradict your own heresy, espousing good works-Sola Fide doctrine is that By Faith Alone, one is Saved.
There are now 35,000 Competing Protest-ant Sects (Cults) None can agree on Anything. Chaos reigns.
Justification is not based on faith, it is by means of faith. There is a difference. We must be wary of terminology that suggests that justification is because of faith. The ultimate cause of justification is God in Christ and the gift of saving faith is the means.

@1Brandyberry Right, I agree. Faith is the channel through which jusification is received.
By the same token, we must be wary of terminology like "saving faith." The better term is "justifying faith." :)
