The County Arms was designed and built in the 1930s by Everards on the site of an earlier pub called the Union Inn. During the war it housed an air raid siren in the tower. During the 1960s & 1970s it was a leading music venue. Famous names who played there included The Farinas who were destined to become Leicester legends, Family and a pre Deep Purple Jon Lord and future Queen bassist John Deacon. In the 1970s The Arms was the home of the Leicester Jazz Society. The pub has now been closed for many years, and has suffered from arson and vandalism. Despite all of this the building is still structually sound.
the pub was shut down before they burnt it! i know this because my mother lived behind that pub long before it shut down!!!

Vandals get a high from breaking up buildings like a drug rush ...... According to NHS Physological and Neural Research and many are actually on harder drugs. as for arsonists it 100% physological imbalance caused from childhood and becomes an addiction

Having worked here in the early 80's and loved the place, this video broke my fucking heart! I hope that this is not the end for the County Arms .... Would be a real shame to see a part of our local heritage go to waste in this way! Come on folks, let's get our heads together and get some funding to get this place up and running again!

@coltsuperocean10 dont know mate just some lad off eyres monsell estate that used to drink in the local more of a drinking partner than a freind. pubs all over leicester and england are closing its a disgrace. the victory is being turned into a car park and many more into wine bars for middle class snobs
