All the leaves are brown
All the leaves are brown
And the sky is grey
And the sky is grey
Ive been for a walk
Ive been for a walk
On a winters day
On a winters day
Id be safe and warm
Id be safe and warm
If I was in l.a.
If I was in l.a.
California dreamin
California dreamin
On such a winters day

Stopped into a church
I passed along the way
Well, I got down on my knees
Got down on my knees
And I pretend to pray
I pretend to pray
You know the preacher likes the cold
Preacher likes the cold
He knows Im gonna stay
Knows Im gonna stay
California dreamin
California dreamin
On such a winters day

All the leaves are brown
All the leaves are brown
And the sky is grey
And the sky is grey
Ive been for a walk
Ive been for a walk
On a winters day
On a winters day
If I didnt tell her
If I didnt tell her
I could leave today
I could leave today
California dreamin
California dreamin
On such a winters day
California dreaming
On such a winters day
California dreaming
On such a winters day.

  • @shorty1forlo great idea dude!

  • love this!

  • @52298Beebop2 When my husbands' family left Montreal in the '60s they considered living in the South (they were looking for a good climate) did not like what they saw in racial attitudes, kept on driving until they ended up in California. '60s were good but I can't say it wasn't because I was a kid & it fun to be young. The '70s? I grew up with a gay twin brother, a friend who was black and gay...I know 1st hand how those who did not fit in were treated and it was not pretty back then...

  • @1caninelover My mother told me when I was 2 in '1962 we had to Move to a Much calmer area were there weren't Violence from the Civil Right's Movement. After that mess my home town became one of the most peaceful places to live in the state of NJ.

But as I look back the '60s & '70s weren't as bad as today.

  • @52298Beebop2 I was only 8 when the song came out and you're right about some things (economy & debt) but there were a whole lot of people who could not get decent work, women whose husbands left them were SOL, black people did not stand a chance at most jobs & higher education. I am white but even growing up in California I noticed a whole lot of folks were worse off from friends who had no dad, were not white, straight etc...a lot of ppl had it rough.

  • @Cannabis919 Lol, you have me figured out. Yay for you! Here have some rainbows and sunshine!

  • @311stoneybaby311 Anybody who says, "No Homo" knows damn good and well they mean it in a homosexual way. Ugh, another lesbo in today's world, shocker.

  • I found out that my car speaker was broken because I could only hear the girls singing. True story
