  • That's simple. If you or I, people who want to change the way things, were to run for office, we would have to run on one of these corrupt parties to get elected because they have rigged the system where no one else is allowed to enter. If you give people 2 bad choices all the time, then you always win. He's breaking through the 2 party paradigm the best way he knows how.

  • @midwestcharm And I'm the one being fooled.

Can you please use the reply button, otherwise you make a mess of the comment section. Thanks.

  • Take my word for it, The change you talk about is possible under a Ron Paul administartion and highly impossible with the other choices. You may think he's racist or whatever but in your heart you know he represents the very same truth and justice you seek.

  • @midwestcharm No, I don't know that at all. Life in this country has become MORE livable for the working class through most of our history not less and it has done so because of the kind of regulation that Ron Paul hopes to get rid of. I think he is dangerous and his ideas are all based in abstract reasoning and not historically supported. A Ron Paul presidency would be a nightmare for the working class. Answer me this, if he is so very different why is running as a Republican?

  • @midwestcharm As an atheist, I really dislike when people tell me what I "Know in my heart." I think with my brain and if you have something for my brain, feel free to share it.

  • Well, who are you petitioning?

  • @midwestcharm We will petition whoever is in power at the moment and I personally will support/endorse only those who respond with action!

Change in this country has always felt slow and yet has been remarkable compared to history. Full scale revolution on the other hand backfires more often than not and is too risky a way to attain one's goals. Look at Iran. A people's revolution if ever there was one. But! They had to risk it, we don't.

  • This is why we need the Occupy movement! They can't even afford a color camera to record the show!

  • Occupy Wall St. = The backlash against New Coke. Finally, I get it.

  • There seems to be a lot of opposition of the Occupy movement coming from the same people who are still looking for President Obama's birth certificate. I think that the Occupy movement has exposed the tea baggers as corporate lackeys. This is just an observation.

    Caindingo & Pailin 2012.

  • @klfly When a discussion starts with "You've been brainwashed" I can be fairly sure I'm not going to have a worthwhile discourse. This isn't how intelligent, reasonable people express themselves. Why not just say "I agree that there is a problem. I fear your missing something in your approach. Here is what I think..."
