Escena perteneciente al film de los hermanos Marx "The Big Store" (Tienda de locos) rodada en el año 1941 en la cual participa el cantante Tony Martin bajo el sobrenombre de Tommy Rogers.
Until you hear the "Tenament Symphony", you cannot realize how bad a piece of music can be. This is the most embarrassing piece of rubbish I have ever heard, an unspeakable horror, a hodge-podge of disjointed ideas and cloying melodies, all treated with the utmost seriousness. The appearance of the boy's choir makes me want to hide in shame. Dreadful from beginning to end!
I still love this vocal rendition of this classic Gerschwin tune - if you heard Tony Martin`s recording of same on cd - it would be less the 2 Marx Bros., albeit, they enhance the finished recording. Then we progress to the FULL instrumental version of Rhapsody in Blue - put these two classical pieces together - et voila! Music by a Maestro, no, I correct myself, methinks it was both George and Ira!
Incredible as it is, as of 2010... this singer (Tony Martin) is STILL alive and occassionally sings (this song) as performances (at the age of 97!) Amazing
Karlakor, you must be a RAP fan, therefore I can understand where your coming from,
anything with melody or structure must be an abomination to you, thats why its all the more
puzzling why you listened to this at all, in fact why were you even in this section?
perhaps I have misjudged you, you might just be a normal person who has had a mental
breakdown, sorry about that
