This is about Ralph Burgstresser's patent on a coil that can go inline with the ignition system to make the spark last longer. I said to superglue the windings, that may eat the enamel. I don't know. To hold down the windings, especially the spaced 15 turn windings, I had two great suggestions from others. One was to use fishing wire to space it and the other was to wind on top of double sided tape that was wrapped around the tube.
why not make 15 small evenly spaced groves into the plastic?

This is nearly the same as the EGYPTIAN DJED PILLAR! I wonder if it would work better if there were 4 equal and opposite sections after the first one, rather than 3, as shown in the Hieroglyphs.

at 2:18 you did a mistake because the 15 spires and the 48 spires are wounded in the same direction... is changing the numbers of turns and the spacer... just a detail

tacky glue works good to hold windings in place and space turns then when you are set just brush on some white glue to set it i do that for my spiral tesla coils works well

to space the 15 turns, just use plastic string or something like that and wrap between the copper.

DId you try it yet ? I´m very impressed by your videos since they are exeptionally easy to understand since you dont mumble or shake the camera like 98% of the youtube communuity.. As a simple creative person and not a real physics person I appreciate this alot (Swedish too.. so not my language).
