  • (*sniffle*) I know my Sam...

  • best speech ever made in history

  • A most monumental scene in this most epic of tales.

I salute you, Sean Astin, for delivering it such justice.

  • @crudesicle because hes able to overdub scenes of other people fighting with words other people wrote?

  • @jeffyjeffyjeffy Of course people can compare them (I know not everyone can), they do it all the time. That's how all those silly fan wars start. Him saying that LOTR is the best out of all of them is just another form of favoritism. =) Who cares? It really doesn't matter in the grand scheme of things (I'm not even sure what that means in this context! lol!)

  • The movies the books and the characters are just.... indescribable i have grown up with lord of the rings and its a part of me a very big thanks to tolkein and peter Jackson for shaping a little part of my life

  • @ChibiCheeks101 well yeah, i guess i can see favoritism, its just saying one is better than an other just doesn't make sense, you really can't compare them

  • This is why Sean Astin will never have to look for a job.

  • @jeffyjeffyjeffy I don't think he was trying to compare them, or say that they were alike in any way. I believe he was just saying, that out of all the popular fantasy movies/books/shows, Lord of the Rings is his favorite. Just because Star Trek, Star Wars, Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings are all diverse and great in their own right, doesn't mean you can't have a favorite. :)
