timorous is such an amazing song - musically and lyrically and the transition into walking was just brilliant. he always plays those two together in shows, right?
Yeah, that Seattle show is on youtube. I think he's Ted's nephew or something. He was really good (and really involved which contrasted with Lerner's statuesque style) but only seemed to play that one show and since then they've got Marty Violence (from Young Pioneers?) who in terms of involvement is definitely on the Lerner side of the scale.
Yeah, thats exactly right. I like James Canty a lot, but he's quite boring compared to Ted. And who didn't love Dave Lerner on bass?
Actually, I saw the very first show they did without David Lerner, it was in Seattle. The replacement (can't remeber his name) was pretty good, really funny, and had only practiced with Ted and the Rx once before the show.
He added James Canty on guitar. Still not up to the Hearts Of Oak era five piece. He also said goodbye to Dave Lerner on bass, I don't think there's a permenant replacement yet.
And yeah the drummer, Chris Wilson, is amazing. Thank god he's the one who has survived since the five piece days.
Is it me or did Ted add another Pharmacist? They were a 3 piece the last time I saw them. If you haven't seen them live, its a must see! His drummer is the absolute best in the biz!!!!!
love the solo.
