@91jmda I actually just installed Crunchbang on this system the other day. It seems to work just as well as Lubuntu, to be honest.
However, I got wireless headphones for Christmas, and I use this system as a "server" for my music on it.

My laptop also did that text boot screen when I installed the video drivers, but it also does good without the video drivers, execpt that without the drivers I can see the Kubuntu boot screen(Kubuntu 11.04)
