Dan Dare 3 - The Escape (1989, Virgin Mastertronic/Probe Software) Longplay

This video shows the whole Dan Dare 3 game, played by me without cheats. The video is jerky because I'm using a new freeware screen capture software, who doesn't allow either good frame rates or sound. The soundtrack is made by the 2 game tunes, played several times (tune 01 - the one that plays at the beginning, in the redefine keys screen - plays until 2:24). Music is by Jeroen Tel of Maniacs of Noise. The game can be played in less time, but I would need more practice to make a speed run video :D

@einokeino303 Thanks for your comment! It's a pity that I had to remove the sound effects, because they're very good as well... I hated the flying screens at the beginning, as I really couldn't understand how to stay inside the tunnel (the squares looked too distant from each other), but I think that's the most difficult part of the game :)

Never played Dan Dare games, but been listening the soundtrack by Jeroen Tel. It kicks ass! I'd remember some of the tunes here were also included in his live set, but not sure though. Graphics look ok, but not very varied. Good idea to have shop screens, but the flying screens between the actual levels don't look very interesting. Good gaming though.
