Coping with Morbid Obesity Part 3

Obesity is not a disease. It's a result of an unbalanced mental state. As food has become more convienient, emotional eaters are eating all of the time; when the fact is, exercise is what the body needs to deal with stress. Overweight people are becoming self-obsorbed and eating four to five times the normal portion of food. People in third-world countries need food, and these people are eating themselves silly. The excuses of obese people are starting to annoy the rest of the world.

Good luck in trying to lose weight! although I am not or never have been anywhere near being morbidly obese I do love food and can understand how people can find comfort etc in eating! I wish you all the best in what can be a very frustrating struggle with weight! xxxx

@BlackThunderDe Unbalanced mental state=disorder. What is so hard to understand here?

okay when your doing your day to day chores instead of standing just jog in place

don't tire yourself out with excercise!!! It only helps slightly overweight people lose weight. Obese people would just get very tired out from slight excercise and unknowingly eat more calories. imo you should start thinking of any non-super-healthy food as a mortal enemy. You shouldn't be tasting anything sweet or fried ever.

Try living in rural Japan. You won't be able to GAIN enough weight.

Ya know, this lady has a lot of good points to share. This is very tastefully and respectfully done. Good job!

this fat bitch needs to just shut the fuck up get off her asss and excercise
For me, I hate to say it, but it's all about what I eat. Exercise is important for the health of all creatures, but no amount of exercise can keep up with what I like to eat. It's so depressing for me to strain myself into a sweat on an exercise bike and then look down at the LED display and see that I've only succeeded in burning off about 6 oz of skim milk. Then I think about the boxes of snack cakes I like to eat and realize it's got to start with calorie control first. I just hate it. :-(

Changing how we look at food and its purpose is one key. If we stop looking at it as a friend & start looking at it as fuel 4 our body, those snacks begin 2 lose their power. I began 2 look at nutritional value & paying attention 2 how I feel when I eat the crap. I feel much better & more energetic when I eat healthier & less. Do I eat an occasional sweet? Yes, but not obsessively. Am I improving my health & fitness? Slowly, yes. You deserve it. Food is not worth sacrificing your health.

I have heard of him before and need to check him out. I have been doing my old Richard Simmons tapes off and on. My knees are getting better every day and I need to push it more. Sorry it took so long for the reply. I have not been on you tube as much. Too busy looking for a job. God Bless!

Is there a community pool or Y where maybe you could request that something like that be started? It was nice & those just starting out did enjoy the solidarity of it. Or even land classes would be good. See if you can get it started........Let me know if it happens, or if I can help in some way. Good Luck! God Bless!

PS I used to be afraid to go to the gym. I was too self conscious. I finally joined and quickly learned there are people of all sizes there. Nobody cares what you look like. This is especially true if you walk in like you own the place! LOL

That is right. I go 2 a Planet Fitness & they call themselves the "judgement free zone" & I love it. There R all types of people there & it is one of the few places that I've been where I can say I do not get stares & whispers. After several warnings, they kick people out who are consistently inappropriate. Great place
