The CZ 75 P-07 is the latest in a long heritage of superb firearms by Ceska Zbrojovka. The model in review is the 9mm version, while a 40 S&W version is under production. The firearms is somewhat similar in size to the Glock 19. It does have some advantages over the Glock 19, like the ambidextrous decocker, and ambidextrous safety, of that is what you fancy. However, due to its dimensions, the CZ P-07 is meant to be worn in an outer holster, and is truly a Duty weapon. In anycase, it is a an excellent firearm and a pleasure to shoot. In my test of about 2000 rounds through the gun, there were zero jams / misfeeds etc. If your PD lets you carry your own weapon, I think the 40 S&W version of the CZ P-07 would be an excellent choice.

  • In my Duty, i have not the magazine problem, just come out fine and quick. And the barrel, is color grey, not black. That is normal..?? What can you say about that? i bought another version? She come with not decocker..

Excuse me for my English, Im from Argentina. Good Vid.

  • @Lensith Maybe in Argentina, CZ is not installing the pressure plate to keep the magazine from dropping free. I have never seen a grey barrel on a CZ-75, but anything is possible. Sounds like you perhaps did buy a version different from the one sold in the US market. Enjoy it!

  • very, very nice review.

And it's called DUTY not for nothing I guess.lol

Anyway I like it and ordered one in 9mm.Thanks

  • @robin6512 Thank you for the kind words.

  • i own a sp 01 tactical and it does not have that problem.

  • @alvarolbm

Sorry, I didn`t see all video. My P07 has the same plate but don`t touch the magazine.

I think your video touched them!!!

  • I don`t know how to rate what I found on my P07 Duty .40S&W. The barrel arrived scratched on the chamber by moviment of the slide during shooting. I think the only problem will be esthetic, but this never happened in my two glocks.

Do you have scratches on chamber in your P07?

  • @NoSavageNation I just bought my P07 Duty .40S&W in Miami - Made in Kansas City - and I have no problems with magazine release, EVEN using empty magazine. Before I buy it, I checked the Duty in 9mm at Gun Dealer for the same problem and everything was fine, than I ordered my .40S&W.

You should have used a loaded magazine in both guns. This should make your comparatives more reliable and fair.

Did you check CZ magazine for some scratch on it? Maybe be a deffective magazine.

  • just picked up a 9mm CZ Duty. I love it, however i did have a small issue and it was due to not enough oil in the weapon. the trigger would stick after each round. alittle extra oil, and bam working wonderfully. thanks for the video, great job!

  • The slide release problem is very strange....my CZ-75 SP-01 doesn't have that issue at all! The mag drops smooth and freely...like your Glock. Strange.....

  • Great review finally. Iv watched reviews of this gun before and they have all been garbage. You were very detailed. Thanks!!

  • I've shot the cz 85 and I'm telling you thats a great gun super accurate

  • @phoenixus99 Overall I'll agree with ya. But It's all dependent upon the user.

  • @Privat3Kag3 Well the 1911 really is... and I do own a P-07 and think its far superior to any Glock I've owned. its an excellent shooting weapon with great "user" accuracy. Its one of the best firearms I've ever had. BUT... the reality is, for pure "shooter" accuracy, I have never found anything better than the razor thin 1911. Biggest problem is, a good 1911 these days you practically need a loan. The 1911 is to the handguns what the AK-47 is to the Assault Rifles. They are just that good.
