Love of da Prophet*P is da essence of Islam (Qur'an 33:56). He is our Example (Qur'an 33:21).

This is one way of showing that love.

I grew up celebrating da Birthday of da Prophet*P & singing above 'qaseeda' so, i find it hard 2 C Muslims objecting 2 it. When asked, they tell U dat da Prophet*P & his companions never did that. They say it's INNOVATION.

So, it TARAWEEH Prayer in congregation.

i cried when i watched it...i remember my mom said before most muslim filipinos are celebrating mawlid, but now new gen only very few due to most scholars learn from saudi... they always said bidaa, can you show me proof that it is necessary to celebrate mawlid?

Islam itself does not condone violence. In the Quran it says that if you take a life it is as if you have killed all of humanity and if you save a life it is as if you have saved all of humanity. There is a certain element that has declared anything in practice that wasn't part of the first few generations of Muslims to be innovations. In the 1800s such ppl attacked Mecca and killed other Muslims. Now a days there is still that element, maybe 0.025%, who are bullying people.
