Gezira on the bank of the Nile

Egypt 2007 - el-Gezira (here village Ramlah), on the bank of the Nile. Luxor West Bank (Thebes-West), near the hotel Gezira Garden (8 December 2007).

View of the Nile. Ramlah, south of the public ferry. 15 years ago the green strip of land along the Nile was farmland. Just a few houses were build there. It really was a game the "owners" of the land were playing. A lot of them suddenly were smelling the big business with the land along the Nile. 2004 ditto 2007/2008 what happened that means the demolishing with brute force of houses on the banks of the river Nile. This happened in Ramlah, a newly built part of the village of El Gezira on the West Bank of Luxor.
