Two clarinets and a piano make serialism sound better then it would if you saw the last video. (Second in the series)

  • @Iheartboosh i love techno hardcore! :-)) maybe that's the reason why i don't care about what most of the people like. because they don't love, they just like.

  • @d0o0o0b

I didn't say Linkin Park was spontaneous, of course it isn't, but it does sound a lot better than serialism.

It really sounds like you love the idea of serialism, but don't like the music either. It is an interesting idea but sounds shit to most sane people in the world.

  • i don't have much trust in the average listener! switch on your tv and you'll know why. the biggest error of the serialism was to shut away the link classical music had with popular music, but in their view they had no choice.

again, beware of what you call natural: nothing in music is natural, as it is made by man!

  • @Iheartboosh it took me one year this time: to tell you that you can listen to whatever, just be aware that what to you may sound spontaneous (for example linkin park) is the exact opposite; there is no worst lie in music than what sounds spontaneous, expressive. serialism tried to deal with this, maybe failing, but at least being honest!

  • Sorry guys but this is hardly serialism

  • This is hardly serialism. I don't even think it can count as being twelve-tone. Isn't that a V-I cadence at 0:22?!

  • No. What keeps it obscure is that it's an entirely new language that was INVENTED (as opposed to developed) and a false one at that because people's ears just don't "hear" music in that way. Boulez is probably the only guy on earth who can actually hear the entire row, and I'm not sure I believe him anyway. But most importantly, it's too scientific. It focuses on a certain number of aspects of music and ignores the rest, many of which are what most listeners are really listening to.

  • Well to be honest, For something which looks as its done in school theyre not really going to set the time asside to come up with their own 12 tone are they, Theyre just going to do something, That to them resembles serialism. Well thats my guess anyway :) Just a representation

  • eurch! I hate serialism in general

and d0o0o0b you took like 4 months to reply!

  • yeah, fuck da rules.
