That uneven wear may be a sign that your hammer is out of square (as they often are with MIM parts). All my 1911's have firing pin stops that don't let the extractor clock and a very slight radius on the bottom. I also square the hammer up so it rides smoothly and evenly. This makes the recoil motion almost "straight up" and keeps the slide from battering the frame, provided you have the right recoil spring. There are few satisfactions that equal a properly built firearm. Thanks for the vid.
