Blacktown was the third council I decided to make a big trip to, which was actually a very long 100km train ride to and from Western Sydney. What got me going to this council before any other, was the Compaction Systems side loaders they use out there to collect the garbage. It was the first time I saw this particular body in action myself, and it was definitely worth the travel on that Tuesday. By what I saw, these trucks have a smooth operation with a steady speed, and are bloody quiet with the Hino chassis.

I hope you enjoy the footage, please rate and comment. I have a little further footage of the garbage collection uploaded, including some better quality footage I took on another occasion. Also make sure you check out the two Blacktown Recycling videos I have posted.

Body Make: Compaction Systems (now Superior Pak)
Model: 22m Sidepak
Chassis: Hino FM
Council: Blacktown City
Contractor: Councils Works
Collection Type: Garbage / Trash

  • u fucking asshole, u see me running toget my bin out but u missed me

  • i think this takes the traditon of being a sanition worker, working off the back of the truck maually loading the hopper with the traditional leach packer long days double clutching days, cant we go back to the good old days

  • i know that driver =)

  • Cool video, The truck just doesn't sound as good as the Acco/Iveco as they are now known as. I drive a Iveco side lift but the arm seems to extend and raise quicker than this one. He might be using the foot pedal lol... I average 142 bins a hour and do 1100 a day.
