i don't trust pets store because you don't know where the animals come from

And again.......people won't listen. :-((
It is so cruel and sad.

God knows what they do to those dogs to get them to breed. Thanks for sharing this with us! Now I know to get dogs from the kennal when I get my own house.

My parents were about to buy a poodle for me at a shop called "Pets Plus" last year but they decided to do a research about were they get their dogs from. Even though the store claims that their pets do not come from puppy mills, they get their dogs from a company that runs puppy mills(I can't remember the name of it, however, you can contact the store through their website and ask them the name of the company). Listen to me and don't make me repeat, DON'T BUY A DOG FROM A STORE WITHOUT RESEARCH

Great message! Randy is adorable! Puppies are a HORRIBLE idea for gifts they're a huge responsibility that the owner needs to make and make responsibly.
Have a great Holiday season and keep rescueing all those animals!

My fiance and I are the proud parents of five adopted/rescued animals. We just brought our fifth (a doe chihuahua puppy) home today after adopting her from a small dog rescue. :)

this is true. i adopted my new kitty :) although with dogs it's even more crucial, because even if you buy a kitten independently they are usually from a breeder which is still better than a mill.

A living thing should never be looked at as a present!
That is so sad how some people would neglect or abandon one of their pets. Having a pet is a big responsibility and before adding one to the family you need to think about the pet's needs. Just compare having a puppy to having a baby. It needs your support for food, shelter, and companionship. Especially dogs since they need companionship, you see packs of dogs, this is because they need each other's company. We have a new puppy we just added to our family last week.
