  • by the way....panthers don't exist. Look it up. They are just jaguars born black, and leopards born black, just like there is an albino gene in some animals, theres a black gene in jaguars and leapords. Don't believe me? Look it up.

    cheers.

  • @vitormangraviti I didn't mean to discuss taxonomy with you, my only intention was to clarify to you that there's not such a thing as "Brazilian oncas". It's just a colloquial name given to the Jaguar in Brazil. Your comment was incorrect, but that's fine, there's no need to be defensive. This is not about winning or losing an argument, it's about learning. By the way, I love your country, been there many times.

    Have a great day.

  • @BIZARROSCOPE Sorry. I am not going to discuss taxonomy with you. It would be pointless.

  • @vitormangraviti Dude, get your facts straight. Onca and Jaguar is the same animal. They are called Jaguars in English, Oncas in Brazil. I'm from Argentina and in Northern Argentina they are called either "Yaguarete", "Tigre" or sometimes "Overo" (which means "spotted"). But it's the same species, living from Argentina to Mexico.

  • I love Jaguars so much that I have a tattoo of one =)

  • @vitormangraviti They are Jaguars. An onca is actually part of the scientific name for Jaguars: Panthera Onca

  • @zablah666 Panthers do exist just not as an individual animal. The term Panther is used to refer to the Cougar, the jaguar, and the leopard. The most common form of a black panther is a Jaguar although leopards occasionally have the gene for black fur. In cougars it is rumored that they have black fur but none has been documented.
