This single topped the official UK singles chart for three weeks after release (2nd November 2008)!
And topped the download chart on iTunes & Play.com.
Play.com recording that more than 700 people a minute downloading the song after the show.
This single is outselling the rest of the songs in the top ten combined, so it's on track to become the top selling single of 2008.

Putting The X Factor single at UK No.1, and keeping it there for a long time, would be an amazing way to show support for the men and women who put their lives on the line in the name of Great Britain, knowing they may have to sacrifice them, every single day.

Oh my goodness! This song is so beautiful! It nearly has me in tears! One of my friends who I went to school with for 9years was killed in afghanistan 3 weeks ago. He was hit by a roadside bomb. He was just 20 years old. Cant believe hes gone. R.I.P Andrew - you did our country proud! You should never have been out there in the first place - among the other brave angels that fell with you. Congratulations to all the X Factor finalists that sang this song and to every1 who supported them. <3

my grandson is joining the army in january i dread him going he is 17 i think of all the soldiers that have gave there lives for there country and were do it get them some dont return i feel for the familys thats left behind (R.I.P ) all that lost there lives
