  • @starfalco I guess I can agree that for a different kind of performance like this that isn't really "marching" or anything, it could be help longer, but Auburn just plays different. Maybe it sounds wrong to some, but right to others, but the point is that it's mean't to be that way really.

  • @killer930000 i've played in the auburn band (in the stadium) for a highschool thing, played in the LSU marching band for two years. that said, this isn't one of those performances where you cut off the note lengths... and the overall presentation is missing something.

nothing against the auburn band, lsu didn't really have good tone for their performance (tx was clearly the best, but lsu didn't really practice this piece all that much) .

Difference is LSU has the "it" factor, Auburn doesn't.

  • @starfalco They do that for a reason. The AUMB cuts off notes with perfect clarity so when the sound hits the audience, it's like a hit in the face, but they cut it short so when they come back in the next measure or beat, it doesn't sound slurred. If you've been in a college stadium, especially something like Auburn's, sound will echo. If you are sitting in the stands listening to the band, sound will be bouncing off all the sides. It also depends when music we play. Think about the facts

  • LSU, AUBURN, AND TEXAS, as I ranked them. Very good job Auburn!

  • LSU won!

  • PRIDE OF THE SOUTHLAND MARCHING BAND!!!!!! GO VOLS!!!!!!!!!
