This is ITB's full review of the HTC Droid Incredible available exclusively on Verizon Wireless. The Incredible is Verizon's newest and most powerful Android smartphone featuring Android 2.1 and HTC's Sense UI, and a gorgeous 3.7" WVGA capacitive touchscreen display. Under the hood the Incredible runs on a 1Ghz Snapdragon processor, and features 512 MB of RAM and ROM. The Incredible also comes stocked with 8GB of internal storage and 2GB SD card. Software wise the Incredible includes HTC's new FriendStream application as well as HTC's new 'Leap' feature which allows users to navigate the phone's 7 home panels with ease. Also on board is Gmail, MS Exchange support, and support for multiple POP/IMAP e-mail accounts. The newest version of Google Maps with spoken turn-by-turn Navigation is also included. The Incredible also boasts an 8 megapixel camera with dual LED flash, and 800x480 video capture. Other features include Wi-Fi, multi-touch with pinch-to-zoom support, and Flash Lite. The HTC Incredible retails for $199.99 after rebate/online discount on a 2-year contract. To read the in-depth written review head over to http://www.infamoustechblog.com.

  • Is there a way to lower the brightness of the display?

  • @childprotective Yes all Android phones have an adjustable brightness setting. You can select auto-brightness and allow the device to manage the screen's brightness levels, or you can set it to remain at your desired brightness level.

  • I've posted this comment on numerous Incredible reviews, but I haven't gotten an answer:

Is this a phone that is constantly connected to the internet? If it is, is there a way to disconnect, and connect only when wanted/needed?

  • @JingerSK The internet connections is always active. There really isn't a need to disconnect. Your data plan is unlimited, so there is no need to shut it ott.

  • @infamoustechblog No, my data plan is not unlimited. I'm only on 150MB, to save some money in comparison to unlimited plan.

  • @JingerSK Oh okay, that's a tough scenario. 150MB doesn't go too far. The only way I know to disable the connection is to use Airplane Mode, but the problem is that will also disable your ability to receive a phone call. So for what you are trying to do I think the answer is no. Hope this helps.

  • @childprotective idoit

  • the camera focus itself which is awsome while making my videos<333

  • Can you personalize this? Like the clock and stuff?

  • @JingerSK I have the $15 plan also and I'm not about to pay 30 bucks a month for internet. I turn off and on the internet when ever I need it and I have never went over the 150 MB. The phone gives you an option if you don't want to use the internet all the time.

  • @JingerSK Yes there is. It's under the setup menu.

  • @infamoustechblog Ah...well, that sucks. Because I really would like a smart phone that isn't a blackberry (I don't like their keypads at all, too small even for me), but I don't want to go above 150 MB and start paying up...I guess the only thing to do is try and convince my parents to let me go unlimited, and just pay the other $15 (since I assume unlimited is $30?). Thank you!
