Dadadruma . I asked .. Don's daughter asked . they won't .. HAD they not cancelled it after one season .. then maybe one season .. they won't .. too expensive . pay 'talent' get permission from contestants (had he listened to ME and gone to 20th . they wanted it badly .. . perhaps it would have lasted a LOT longer .. it was pretty much . or all .. on the fly .. scripts from 'the movie scene' but the funny things that happened NOT planned AT all

Hi Bradlbe .. Don was hilarious .. DAST (as we called it) was his idea for years and finally came to pass . he wanted to show outtakes/fluffs and that was the only way he could think of doing it .. you should have seen the lineup for auditions .. casting directors saw them . Don was there . but did not know who got an 'ok' .. about 500 WERE seen by Don/Mary Pasetta & the censors from CBS/NBC (I timed them) . they had 'sides' to read . very funny .. I have a few more . but need to be in the mood
who was the women don adams was on top of?

@tbuzby Hi . she was the contestant you can see standing next to Doug & Don .. she won the 'chance to do that scene' everything she said was unscripted .. same with Dougie & Don .. I do NOT remember her name and best not to post it here anyway .. do not know where the list is . but listen to beginning and you might hear Don call her down:) . All 'impromptu dialogue was just that' .. Don wanted the show to be funny and IT WAS ..

i loved this show too . Did they ever edit the contestants screen test into the real movie to see if the contestants were as stellar as the original movie stars? Could you post any other clips?
Thanks..

@frankjoel Hi .. I don't know really . a few got walk on parts on different shows . no lines .. I did bump into one of the winners who had become a driver . good paying job! .. I have a couple of other clips . but not sure I remember how to do it . NOR .. where they are:) .. I shall see what I can find one of these days .. Was a FUN show to work on . and because of working with Marty Pasetta on this . he wanted me to work for him on the 48th acad. awards .WHAT fun that was! ..

I believe I watched every episode of this when it was on. It was hysterical! The scene I most remember was a reenactment of Robin Hood and Little John fighting on a log bridge. The guy yelled "Jaws!" when he fell in the water.

@aatragon It was done where they rebuilt the stage at Universal for Conan . it was the FIRST tape show EVER done at Universal . All the 'big guys' came on the set from the tower .. Red Buttons, was one who did a scene from Robin Hood & Ernest Borgnine. .I THINK did another .. one of these days should list on eBay .. Photos & bios . not the shows! .. I do not remember that . will have to look at the dvds some time to check that out:) ..
