I don't quite get the criticisms. This game is awesome. It's my favorite since the original Metroid.

So far... I'm loving it. I heard horrible things about Other M, but so far I rank it my second favorite 3D-era Metroid game after original Metroid: Prime. It has everything that made me love Metroid in first place and still they made it feel fresh. Story has been amazing so far and it has this really creepy feel that Metroid: Fusion has. Really, really loving it. NOTE: I still haven't finished it and i'd call myself "hardcore" old school Metroid fan but this is REAL Metroid with fresh approach.

Metroid should be in 2D. Itd be nice to see classics like Metroid Fusion and Super Metroid...hell...even the original NES version.

Apparently the creator of this game hated the Prime series

That's enough to make me not consider this game

@ObscuroSknim1234 I consider myself a hardcore metroid fan and possess every single game in the series, including Metroid pinball even though i hate pinball :S. Anyway, it's the gameplay that's king in the series, so if you've never played the game, i really recommend it. It's not the best in the series, but it's a decent entry. Let's just hope that the next one can surpass Super Metroid.

@naota545 The problem I have with the Ridley scene is that she beat Ridley like 5 times before. At this point she shouldn't be so afraid to the point she can't move. Surprised and scared sure, but she shouldn't take THAT long to start fighting.

@ObscuroSknim1234 I agree, though the gameplay is pretty awesome, lol. I don't mind Samus' personality too much though. But she is far too obediant, and there is one scene where she gets far more afraid then she should have. (Considering what she went through in past games, like Super Metroid, and Metroid 1)

But it's her personality fans care about, how she holds herself. She already kicks ass =D

But her character acts just didn't feel right... I never played the game, but from what I saw in the Cutscenes, I was seriously disappointed in Samus.

I imagined a strong-willed, confident character that did what she thought was best. But all I saw was a timid, weak-minded Samus that took orders like a Soldier, not a Bounty Hunter 0.o

That's just my intake on the though, the gameplay may be amazing.
