European Grand Prix 2009 in pictures - Excellent Victory

This was the eleventh GP of the 2009 Formula 1 season. Driver changes were ahead of the weekend, as Luca Badoer replaced the injured Felipe Massa, and Romain Grosjean the pushed-out Nelson Piquet Jr. The 38-years old italian had a forgettable drive, as he made many mistakes, and finished 17th. The Frenchman (although he was born as swiss) made a good impression, but he got involved in a first-lap incident, so he couldn't run as good as he had imagined, by finishing 15th. McLaren drivers got the first row on qualifying, but the team made a mistake during Lewis's pit stop, so he had to content himself with 2nd position. Kovalainen finished 4th. Rubens Barrichello, who was much faster than Jenson during the whole weekend, won the race, after 5-years wait, and took the 100th GP-victory of Brazil. Kimi Raikkönen had an unwares drive to the 3rd position. Rosberg finished 5th, Alonso 6th ahead of his fans, Jenson 7th and Kubica 8th, first time for him and BMW (who will get out from F1 at the end of the year) since Turkey. Where are the Red Bulls? So, Vettel could get points, but he had an engine failiure in lap 24. Webber wasn't as fast as he needed, and finished 9th.
