You definitely took that way out of context. :)

Actually, the Bible says that the gospel is the power of God unto salvation. What we need to reach people is the gospel of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit.
Paul specifically talked about how he went to the lost with nothing but the gospel, so that God would get the glory for man's salvation, as opposed to man thinking that his hip and clever and relevant ways leads man to salvation.
You know, like Perry Noble.

Do I believe there is a connection? YOU BET! THERE IS A STRONG CONNECTION. AND IF I WALKED INTO A CHURCH AND HEARD THIS I WOULD NOT TOLERATE IT FOR A SECOND. GIVE ME A WHIP AND WATCH WHAT I'LL DO!

I grew up in a town where AC/DC's Back In Black album was by far the most popular album in town (and songs like Highway To Hell were also frequently played). This town also had the highest suicide rate per capita in the entire state. I personally knew 4 people who committed suicide. Stop and think about that... How many people do you think you will know in your ENTIRE LIFE who will commit suicide? I personally knew NO LESS THAN FOUR before I was 18 years old.

What the Church NEEDS to do is what SCRIPTURE tells her to do. And if you're not interested in doing that then you have no business pretending to be one of the Lord's sheep.

Why am I seeing an alleged minister of the gospel using course language?
Get rid of him.

Perry Noble is a hiring and a heretic. This Emergent style tripe will destroy the evangelical gospel.

@tinycrack 100% agreement.

Wow. Did this guy go to college, then seminary, etc with a determination to do what was wrong in the sight of God? Course language is condemned in the Word. Looking like the World is condemned by the world. The reason why he's got such a huge church is this: the world loves the world. The world loves the things of the world. The world loves the speech of the world. The world says, "I'm going to do as I please because you can't do anything about it! ....& I'll call it righteous."

I suppose he is a professing brother in Christ, but what a disagreeable fellow. Enough already.
-
.... Correct me if I'm wrong, but did he not say the same thing...... ? That he would p off the Church with Highway to Hell...?
-
The end does not justify the means. The church gathers to worship God, not to arouse curiosity by shocking people. Most unbelievers can see through these inane attempts to pull in the crowds and are not impressed.
@saintoccasionally technically it wasn't a "sermon" but I understand what you're saying.
