  • I like both arrengement. I think I would like to play both depend on how I feel. I mean, I would play Galway edition if I feel inspire. I would play rampal edition if I feel strong or maybe angry lol

Comunismo musical: socializando a boa Música.

  • Here's the problem with Pahud's version, the orchestra will bury you because your in the lower register (I know Pahud wasn't but in a performance the flute player will be). Truthfully I feel this version sounds truly like a flute concerto unlike Rampal's version of which Pahud played.

  • J Galway takes this up an octave to come closer to a violin sound and this arrangement is much more difficult. Pahud's sounds more like a flute concerto that was transcribed. I think awful is a bit harsh considering this had no errors in the performance; it's just a different arrangement.

  • Awful! I've heard Pahud's version of Khatchaturian Concerto and it's much, much better. With all due respect to Galway, this isn't one of his better works..
