@xxtasha10xx It depends on how interested they are in the word. Sometimes right away, sometimes days, sometimes weeks, sometimes never. You can't force or coerce them to say something they have no desire to say.

Almonds and peanuts are ok, as long as they are supplemented with lots of otehr stuff as 4zebird as said. Fresh fruit is very good as well. My grey gets really excited whenever he sees me with an apple or some celery or any fruit really!
