@rgm501 Well, look at the clip that's got most views. I was the first to upload it a few years ago. I don't own these clips, of course, but it's not nice seeing my clips getting copied and uploaded by others. Therefore the only way to avoid it, or to make things more difficult for others if they want to copy it, is to put a watermark on the clip.

@ARealEngineer I'm referring to the picture quality only and that my copy is quite better than the other ones here. Also, it's more then 40 years old! But there's no law that says that you have to watch the clip, and as far as I know (being ironic) you don't pay anything to watch clips on YouTube. But despite all the time that I and other people spend editing and uploading clips to make other people happy, some people (who often haven't done anything themselves) simple have to complain anyway.

My absolute favorite song by Jay and The Americans. I was a Junior in H.S. when this song was released in 1969, (OK, I'm Old - so what), and it just was fantastic for the time. I wish I knew where this video footage was shot, the architecure and the city skyline almost looks European. Anyway, great song, thanks for posting the video.

I'm a television cameraman of 30 years, and after reading all the confusing responses to what you are seeing on the screen I thought I'd explain what you are seeing and why. This clip is the editors version before the final take that would be the finished product. You are looking at "time code" which the editor uses to find a specific frame in the clip when he has to make an edit point. None of what you see in this clip would be present in the finished product. The time code is for video only.
